An Annual Compliance Report (ACR) is required for all nuclear substances, radiation devices, and Class II nuclear facilities and prescribed equipment licences. Each licence has a licence condition specifying the due date for ACR submission. Note that all annual dosimetry results (whole body and extremity) must be reported for the one-year dosimetry period prior to the due date, in accordance with Subsection 1(1) of the Radiation Protection Regulations.

It is a regulatory requirement to submit the ACR. If it is not submitted by the prescribed due date, any licensing action will be put on hold until the completed ACR is submitted.

ACR Forms Submission

The ACR form can be downloaded and completed electronically. Once complete, attach the ACR form and any supporting documents to an email message and send to acr-rac@cnsc-ccsn.gc.ca.

Before submitting the ACR form, please ensure that all sections are completed in full. Additionally, it is important to save a copy of the completed form for your records.

Note:

Please Read the Privacy Notice.

The submission of an Annual Compliance Report (ACR) is a condition found on all licences for nuclear substances, radiation devices, Class II prescribed equipment and facilities, in accordance with subsection 24(5) of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act (NSCA). Collection of the information is used for monitoring licensee compliance with regulatory requirements and licence conditions, and is also used for studying safety-related data trends in the nuclear industry, which are disseminated to the public in Nuclear Substances in Canada: A Safety Performance Report.

The request for personal contact and medical information on this form is required as part of the regulatory framework used through licensing, compliance verification and enforcement to regulate the industry. All information collected is protected by provisions of the Privacy Act. If the requested information is not provided, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) will be unable to collect the necessary information for verification of the licensee's compliance with licence conditions and the regulatory requirements established under the NSCA. If the licensee does not submit the ACR, the licensee will be deemed non-compliant with the conditions of their licence; obliging the CNSC to take enforcement actions as a result. The information will be compiled and disclosed as part of the regulatory approach for compliance and enforcement and is described in the CNSC Info Source section of the CNSC website.

These forms may be updated from time-to-time, so please ensure that you always use the most current version available form on the web site.

Open the ACR document then select the applicable form from the drop-down list and click the “Generate Form” btn to apply your selection. The ACR forms are customized for the activity authorized by the licence. The licensed activity name and number (e.g. 812 - industrial radiography), can be found on each licence under section IV Licensed Activities.

If you selected the wrong licensed activity, in order to change it, go back to the drop-down list then select the correct licensed activity and then click on the “Generate Form” btn to create the correct ACR form.

To request a hard copy of the ACR form, please send your request to dnsr-info-drsn@cnsc-ccsn.gc.ca.
