The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) has published regulatory document RD/GD-99.3, Public Information and Disclosure.
RD/GD-99.3 sets out the CNSC's requirements and guidance related to public information programs, including a public disclosure protocol for applicants and licensees of Class I, as well as certain Class II nuclear facilities and uranium mines and mills. The public disclosure protocol is a necessary component in a modern public information program for major nuclear facilities.
RD/GD-99.3 replaces Regulatory Guide G-217, Licensee Public Information Programs, January 2004.
