Currently, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) maintains regulatory oversight of seven nuclear power plants at five sites in Canada. This oversight is done through existing Licensing and Compliance Programs administrated by CNSC head office staff and on-site inspectors.

CNSC is currently updating its regulatory framework for nuclear power plants to draw upon international standards and best practices and to meet the growing demand for moving towards nuclear power. New Web content, such as general information for all nuclear power plants as well as site-specific details, will be added to provide convenient access to information intended to assist you with your regulatory information needs.
