Draft Environmental Assessment Screening Report – Deloro Mine Consolidation Site Remediation
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) invites public comment on the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) Screening Report for the proposed Deloro Mine Site Cleanup Project by the Ontario Ministry of Environment (OMOE) located near the Village of Deloro, Ontario.
The environmental assessment is being conducted pursuant to the requirements of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act.
The public comment period ends on June 8, 2009.
The EA Screening Report is based on a separate Environmental Assessment Study Report prepared by the OMOE in response to EA Guidelines approved by the CNSC.
Interested parties should address their written comments to the CNSC Environmental Assessment Officer at the address indicated below. CNSC staff will review and address all comments received before submitting the EA Screening Report to the Commission for approval and decision under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. All comments received regarding the EA Screening Report will be public information.
